A Tale of 2 Dresses.
I think the hardest part about a woman marring a woman, would be keeping the dress a secret. I was told many stories about the dresses, Vivian and Erica decided to wait until their wedding day to reveal their dresses to each other, and they were both in awe of each other.
Erica’s dress fit her personality to a T, it was colorful and giant with a hoop skirt to keep its shape. Vivian went with more of a classic champagne dress with beautiful crystal and lace detailing. Both women looked amazing, and while they had given each other descriptions of their dresses both were amazed when they saw.
While the weather was not on our side for the planned outdoor ceremony, that didn’t stop our brides from walking down the isle and declaring their love to each other.
The ceremony itself was a tearjerker, with the most heartfelt vows I’ve ever witnessed: not one persons eye was dry. Vivian and Erica’s son was also present for their vows and even he wiped away a tear when Erica was talking about how much Vivian meant to them. He did an amazing job as their reader along with their nephew, reciting a beautiful story about 2 dinosaurs that fell in love.
Once all the tears were wiped and pictures taken. It was time to party. And party they did. The ballroom was lit up with blue uplighting and pin spots to accent the centerpieces and cake, it was breathtaking. Vivian and Erica partied all night long with disco sticks, glow necklaces and a photobooth to keep their guests entertained. It was the perfect end to the perfect day.
Congratulations Vivian and Erica, it was truly an honor to capture your day. Please enjoy a sample of photos highlighting their day.
