Laura & Chad | Laurel Hideaway, Jones Mills | Pittsburgh Weddings
There are couples we meet, where there is an instantaneous connection. Such was the case with Laura & Chad. After our first encounter during their engagement session, I knew it was going to be a very long year until I got to photograph their wedding. Not only did I keep them laughing the whole day, but they kept me laughing.
June 25th was no exception. I met Laura at the unfinished house Chad is building for his bride. With a single completed room made just for the girls to get ready in, the couples next chapter is all about new beginnings. After taking some pictures around their land, we headed to Laurel Hideaway.
We love Laurel Hideaway for it seclusion and wrap around vegetation. Yes you have to drive a literal mile into the woods down a gravel road, but once the clearing opens and you see the barn, it is definitely worth the trek. The barn is very airy and beautifully decorated with twinkle lights. It is perfect for any bride looking for the rustic wedding of her dreams.
The weather was so amazing, the outdoor ceremony went off without a hitch. My favorite part of the ceremony was the sand ceremony, where they included Bre, the couples daughter. Following the ceremony we headed to Laurel Gardens lactated behind Nino’s Restaurant for some amazing pictures of the bridal party.
We love Laurel Gardens for pictures because of the vast rustic photo opportunities. We are able to capture variety in posing and backgrounds even with a tight time constraint.
The reception was insane, even with the opportunity to go outside, DJ Chaz had the crowd dancing all night long. It was one of the most fun receptions I’ve covered. The bride and groom danced all night long, which always helps make the guest enjoy themselves too.
